Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, on the Island of Hawaii, was the perfect place to have the little island getaway we were looking for.  We’re from Oahu but it’s always nice to visit the neighbor islands and really be on vacation.

The lobby has a very welcoming feel and includes a lot of sitting areas with amazing views.  The openness and breeze that flows through the lobby makes it very comfortable to sit back and relax at.

We each had a beautiful ocean view room with two double beds.  (Thank you to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for the fruit basket and delicious banana bread.  That was a nice surprise!)  The sunset view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking!

There are three pools, including an infinity pool and one with a slide, that are all kid friendly.  (Not to mention, senior citizen friendly.  Our parents had fun on the slide as well!)

It's a nice short walk to the beach and there are a lot of lounge chairs sitting around, available for use.

We really enjoyed the food at the Hawaii Calls Restaurant & Lounge.  We ordered some tropical drinks and sandwiches that we enjoyed pool side, ordered the happy hour pupu (appetizer) platter and enjoyed them on the comfort of our balcony, and dined in at the restaurant and had some cocktails and late night appetizers.  Everything was delicious!

We all had the most wonderful time!

  5. My gosh what a stunningly beautiful place!! I don't know how anyone from Hawaii can bear to leave it, it's top of my list to visit someday, but with super expensive flights from the UK I don't think it'll be anytime soon! Really really beautiful, great post
