Happy Town Hawaii Totes

Have you heard of the Oahu-based brand, Happy Town Hawaii?  They have the cutest totes and have now partnered with Joie de Vivre Hotels’ Hawaii properties, Shoreline Hotel Waikiki and Coconut Waikiki Hotel.  These 100% recycled cotton, customized canvas totes are exclusive to Joie de Vivre Hotels and available for purchase at either property for a discounted price of $12 (usually sold for $22-$28).

Business owner and designer Tamar Wong, had a wonderful vision of bringing style and earth-friendly materials together.  The cute reusable totes are perfect for days at the beach and shopping trips.  Speaking of shopping, those of you who live on Oahu may have heard that starting July 2015, plastic shopping bags will be banned on the island.  What better reason to purchase these lovely totes!

Basic tees are my absolute everyday favorites.  I love the versatility of them…they go with just about anything!  I’ve been in search of a soft, comfy tee that fits well for some time now so I was very excited when I discovered Everlane!  I received three different styles (below) and love them all!  The fit is perfect and they are very soft and comfortable.  It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!  The other great thing about them is that their markup is low and quality is high.  It’s always great to find high quality, affordable fashion!

The Perfect Day: Waikiki

We were recently invited and honored to be a part of The Perfect Day: Waikiki, hosted by The Luxury Collection and One Kings Lane.  The Perfect Day:  Waikiki included an Exclusive “Royal Papa’aina” dinner by Chef Shaymus Alwin of Azure Restaurant and a night at the iconic and luxurious Royal Hawaiian.
A perfect day it was.  The Historic Garden and Grove Jr Suite was absolutely gorgeous.  We felt like princesses!  We were welcomed with such lovely customized gifts and delicious banana bread.  And this was only the beginning of our perfect day.

This soft silk Royal Hawaiian scarf will add a beautiful touch to our outfits.

Delicious Banana Bread

After settling in and admiring our gorgeous Historic Garden and Grove Jr Suite, we attended the exclusive “Royal Papa’aina” dinner at the King Kamehameha Suite, the most prestigious suite at the Royal Hawaiian.  The view was breathtaking.

The table setting and decor inspired by One Kings Lane was absolutely stunning.

We had a marvelous "Royal Papa'aina" 8-course meal and wine pairing prepared by Chef Shaymus Alwin of Azure Restaurant.  It was nothing like anything we’ve ever experienced before!

We were fortunate to dine with Kelly Hoen, General Manager of the Royal Hawaiian, Andrea Stanford of One Kings Lane, the talented Brooklyn photographer Nicole Franzen, beautiful Caitlin of A Little Dash of Darling, and amazing bloggers from Hawaii.
The dinner, ambience, service…everything was perfect!

After returning from the "Royal Papa'aina Dinner, we were surprised with cookies and a keepsake gift from One Kings Lane.

The historical and majestic Royal Hawaiian opened in 1927 on the infamous Wakiki beachfront and has since been restored and renovated.

Here are some pictures of the world-class historic landmark – The Pink Palace of the Pacific.
